Cathy is a legal expert, program advisor, and a specialist in inclusion and gender issues, working in the field of development and governance. She has extensive experience with the European Union and United Nations processes in Central Africa, West Africa, and Europe.

In 2014, she founded the Latiwa Development Foundation—a philanthropic organization registered in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Cameroon, and Belgium, focusing on the economic empowerment of women and girls.

She is an international speaker, facilitator, and certified trainer in leadership and conflict management (LEAD).

Cathy gained her academic and professional experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Belgium.

She is fluent in French and English, has elementary proficiency in Italian and Spanish, and speaks Swahili as her native language.

Cathy has vast experience in training women on gender equality, women’s and girls’ rights, female entrepreneurship, women’s political empowerment, inclusive political processes, and electoral support programs in Africa. She is a staunch supporter of movements against gender-based violence, creating platforms for victims to speak out.

She strongly supports women-led programs and organizations across various sectors, including climate change, renewable energy, non-biodegradable material recycling, especially in art, fashion, and sanitation campaigns.

Cathy is recognized as a collaborative member of management teams, providing innovative, reliable, and effective solutions and strategies that unify staff and break down cultural and geographical barriers while advancing organizational values, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
