Breast and cervical cancer awareness and screening

This project, “Awareness and Screening for Breast and Cervical Cancer,” is part of our mission to contribute to better access to health care and increase knowledge about two cancers that particularly affect women.

As part of Pink October, LDF Cameroon has decided to offer 100 women the opportunity to get screened for these two cancers. More importantly, they will learn more about these conditions, enabling them to share their knowledge with their family and friends.

LDF Cameroon would like to express its deep gratitude to Recover Foundation for its trust in our ability to launch this project and for its financial support of 1151 EURO (755,000 FCFA), which allowed us to carry out this event.

Day’s Schedule:

• Welcome and Registration: Each woman is greeted and registered upon arrival.
• Information and Awareness Sessions: Doctors provide information and raise awareness about each type of cancer. Women are also encouraged to ask questions.
• Screening: For women who choose to participate, screenings for each cancer are conducted in private, dedicated rooms.
  • Breast Cancer Screening: A clinical breast exam is performed.
  • Cervical Cancer Screening: A Pap smear is conducted.
