About us

Latiwa Development Foundation (LDF) is a non-profit association created in 2014 in Nigeria, and existing in three other countries: in Congo, Belgium and Cameroon since 2020 and officially registered on April 21, 2021.

It brings together volunteers from different social-professional backgrounds but who cultivate the same interest in giving of themselves for a better world.

Our association’s main objective, among others, is the empowerment of women and girls – this is the fifth Sustainable Development Goal adopted in 2015 by the United Nations.

To increase control over the factors and decisions that shape the lives of women and girls in Cameroon, we are helping to improve their living conditions through access to healthcare and quality education, but above all to build their capacities through training that will enable them to be economically and socially independent.

In this way, our role is to catalyze, facilitate and support these women and girls in their acquisition of decision-making power and financial independence, and thus obtain the key to their autonomy and full participation in civil, political, social and economic life.

Stronger together

LATIWA DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION is a melting pot of women and men volunteers from different countries and social and professional backgrounds, who all share an interest in giving of themselves for a better world where justice and equality reign for all.
