16 Days of Activism against Violence against Women

At the heart of the global commitment to gender equality and human rights, the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, held annually from November 25 to December 10, stands as a beacon of hope and a call to action. The Latiwa Development Foundation (LDF Africa) joins this global movement, aligning with our mission to empower and support communities across Africa.

Role and Responsibility of LDF Africa

At LDF Africa, we understand that the fight against gender-based violence is multifaceted, requiring a combination of advocacy, support, and education. We are committed to:

  1. Raising Awareness: Through community engagement and digital platforms, we aim to educate and inform about the realities of gender-based violence and ways to combat it.

  2. Supporting Survivors: In partnership with local organizations, we strive to provide resources and support to survivors of gender-based violence, ensuring they have access to the care and assistance they need.

  3. Advocating for Change: We engage with policymakers and stakeholders to advocate for stricter laws and policies that protect women and girls from violence.
