Spring Meetings 2025 – World Bank & IMF

At the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the IMF, I had the honor of participating in high-level discussions on the theme: “Jobs as a Path to Prosperity.”

Over the course of three days, alongside African and international delegates, I engaged in meaningful dialogue with key actors in sustainable development, including the IFC, The Digital Economist (where I am a fellow), and the Women, Business and the Law team.

These meetings highlighted the urgent need to create inclusive employment opportunities, particularly for women entrepreneurs in Africa. I also had the privilege of speaking with Véronique Kabongo, the World Bank representative for the DRC, about the importance of African leadership in global institutions.

At BuildHerAFuture Africa, we continue to advance this mission with the goal of empowering 60,000 women entrepreneurs by 2030, in alignment with SDGs 5, 8, 12, 13, and 17.
